Ok we all know that when we buy ourselves new dive mask that we have to clean the lenses with toothpaste. However sometimes certainly early on this doesn't always appear to be affective at stopping the lenses from fogging up. And this can not only get you all flustered but can ruin a good dive.

I have second hand experience of this with my buddys mask fogging up time and time again regardless of how many times we cleaned the lenses. That was until someone suggested using beer..... WHAT!!!

Beer, simple enough...... just soak the lenses in beer, the bottled stuff, nice and fizzy, it sounds mad, you may feel a bit daft doing it but it worked for us, so if all else has failed give it a go....... and as long as you don't mind being a bit daggy you don't even have to waste the beer, just drink it when you're done.

Ok so what did we do, simple enough we poured the beer into the mask and let it sit for 30 minutes, then rinsed it out, we repeated the process twice and did the same for the front of the lenses and next time we went diving hey presto not fogging up.
